The True Nature of Light: Understanding Electromagnetic Fields Beyond Quantum Assumptions

The nature of light has perplexed scientists and philosophers for centuries. While modern quantum theory presents certain models for understanding light, many of these explanations are based on assumptions that lead to paradoxes and logical inconsistencies. In this discussion, we explore the misconceptions surrounding light, the flaws in popular quantum explanations, and the importance of revisiting fundamental principles to achieve a more coherent understanding of electromagnetic phenomena.

One common question that challenges experts in physics is deceptively simple: "What is a field?" This question, when posed to even seasoned physicists, often results in confusion because the fundamental nature of fields, particularly electromagnetic fields, remains poorly understood within conventional frameworks. The assumption that light behaves as both a particle and a wave—a duality—introduces inherent contradictions that defy basic principles of natural law. Nature does not entertain contradictions; thus, the wave-particle duality theory raises more questions than answers.

The popular double-slit experiment is often presented as proof of light's dual nature. However, the experiment is deeply flawed when its foundational assumptions are examined. Light is typically described as either particles (photons) emitted from a source or waves that travel through space. Both assumptions fail to address observed phenomena such as light accelerating after exiting a denser medium, a behavior that challenges the principle of conservation of energy. If light were composed of particles, this acceleration would constitute a paradox, as it would imply energy creation from nowhere.

Rethinking Light: Why Modern Theories of Photons and Waves Fail to Explain Reality
The question is whether light is a wave that acts like a particle or a particle that acts like a wave?

The core misunderstanding lies in how modern physics conceptualizes light. Light does not "travel" as commonly described. Instead, it manifests as a perturbation within a medium—an ether. Similar to how waves form when a person moves their arms in water, light results from a disturbance in an electromagnetic field, not from particles flying through empty space. The notion of photons traveling from point A to point B is as logically flawed as saying someone "sees happiness walking down the street." Happiness, like light, is an attribute of an underlying process rather than a tangible object.

The contradictions deepen when electricity is introduced into the explanation. Mainstream science describes electricity as the "flow of electrons," yet this model is equally problematic. If electricity were simply electrons moving through a conductor, wireless power transfer—like the kind seen in inductive charging systems for phones and electric toothbrushes—would be impossible. These devices transfer energy through electromagnetic induction without electron flow across a physical medium, undermining the electron-flow theory.

By combining the conventional views of light and electricity, quantum theory presents a model where blinking photons, accompanied by electrons, create electromagnetic waves that appear and disappear at frequencies dictated by their wavelength. This concept, however, breaks the conservation of energy principle and introduces absurd scenarios. Imagining photons constantly materializing and dematerializing while surrounded by a swarm of electrons illustrates the implausibility of this model.

Historically, renowned scientists like Nikola Tesla, James Clerk Maxwell, and Oliver Heaviside rejected the notion of light as particles. They recognized it as an electromagnetic disturbance within a medium—a perturbation of the ether. This understanding aligns with observed phenomena and provides consistent explanations for behaviors like polarization, interference, and energy transfer across empty space.

The fundamental distinction lies between two competing models of reality: atomism, which relies on particles and randomness, and a field-based perspective rooted in ether interactions. Atomism struggles to account for known electromagnetic behaviors, while the ether-based model explains these phenomena without resorting to paradoxes or dualities.

Ultimately, understanding light as a field perturbation rather than a particle-based emission offers a more consistent, logical, and coherent explanation of reality. By questioning mainstream assumptions and returning to foundational principles, we open the door to more accurate and insightful explorations of electromagnetic phenomena.

The Secret of Light - by Walter Russell

A century and more ahead of his time, Walter Russell, in The Secret of Light presents a unique Cosmogony, that of a universe in which Creator and Creation are proven to be a seamless, unified whole, and in which the dualism of "mind and matter" disappears. In revelation of what he terms "natural science," Russell presents a two-way, magnetic-electric thought-wave universe, cyclic in nature and eternally "creating," as opposed to the "created, expanding, entropic universe" of current science. Russell's philosophy of the science of Being, the invisible world of Cause” the nature of consciousness, knowing, thinking, sensing, inspiration, intuition, energy, and the creative process” and the science of Expressed Being, the visible world of Effect” the nature of light, the wave structure of universal creation, the creation of the elements that make up our visible world, and the cycle nature of life and death -” are proven a unified continuum.

The Secret of Light illuminates the many questions regarding the nature of "science and consciousness." Dr. Francis Trevelyan Miller (LITT.D., LL.D.), Historical Foundations, New York, wrote in 1947 of The Secret of Light, "I hasten to congratulate you on your epoch-making achievement in giving the world The Secret of Light. In this little volume, with its tremendous magnitude of thought, you have given Science and human knowledge a rebirth” a transmigration from its physical plane to its potential grandeur on the cosmic plane. "You have opened the door into the infinite” science must enter. It may hesitate; it may engage in controversy, but it cannot afford to ignore the principles you have established which eventually will revolutionize man's concept of himself, his world, his universe, and his human problems. "You have done for us in the Twentieth Century what Ptolemy, Euclid, Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler did for their earlier centuries. But you have further penetrated all physical barriers and extended your discoveries into definite forms of the infinite law which created our universe and keeps it in operation with mathematical precision through the millions of years. "Hitherto, Science while delving into these infinite sources has not attempted to define them. It has left the terminology to the ecclesiastics and theological dialectics. You have the courage and vision to start where they leave off” to explore the creative or spiritual law which motivates everything that exists: principles of far greater import than Einstein's relativity. I hail you as a forerunner of our New Age of Science.
